Festivals

Denmark's largest and most internationally-oriented jazz festival is the Copenhagen Jazz Festival,  held every year at the start of July.

Other major jazz festivals include the Aarhus International Jazz Festival, which takes place immediately after the Copenhagen jazz festival, and the Riverboat Jazz Festival in Silkeborg, which has a more traditional profile.

The national Winter Jazz Festival focuses on a small selection of the many good concerts organised by the country's jazz clubs all year round.

Venues and jazz clubs

There are numerous venues for jazz music in Denmark. The largest venues that have specialised in the genre are:

Copenhagen Jazz House, with the status of a state-subsidised, ”regional music venue” 
Bent J in Aarhus
Sunship in Aarhus 
Jazzhus Dexter in Odense.
