The jazz singer, pianist and composer Susi Hyldgaard was invited to perform at the Jarasum International Jazz Festival September 12-16. The festival presents international jazz acts, such as Kurt Elling and Mike Stern. Around 100.000 visitors attend the five days of music.

Initially the Jarasum International Jazz Festival, represented by artistic director Jae Jin In, was invited to Copenhagen by the Danish Arts Council to get acquainted with the Danish Jazz scene first-hand. Jae Jin In held meetings with Danish jazz labels, artists, journalists and other members of the Danish jazz scene.

Susi Hyldgaard’s performance in South Korea can also be seen preliminary to the Danish state visit in October 2007. During the visit of the royal family the Danish jazz pianist and composer Niels Lan Doky will perform with Korean jazz singer Nah Youn Sun.
