At an prize show October 1 at Jysk Musik & Teaterhus in Silkeborg Denmark’s largest jazz award was given to Finn Ziegler, bandleader and jazz violinist. Finn Ziegler (b. 1935) receives the prize for his lifelong influence on the popularity of jazz in Denmark.
It is the 3rd time the prize is awarded to a Danish jazz musician by Riverboat Jazz Festival, Silkeborg, in cooperation with the organisation Frokostjazzen Silkeborg, and sponsored by Jyske Bank.
