The danish drummer Mikkel Hess, educated at The Royal Danish Academy of Music, was awarded the price for New Danish Jazz Act for his inventive and playful electronic release 'Tip Top Dynamo'.
But the evening’s great winner was Jakob Bro, who won in two categories for his release 'Sidetracked'. For Danish jazz release and Danish cross-over jazz release.
Jakob Bro plays the guitar in many different constellations. Among others in the rock band I Got You On Tape. On his winning release, Jakob Bro is exploring the boundaries of jazz with his unique sound.
