This week’s edition of the English music magazine New Musical Express (NME) features a list of the ten best bands that could be seen at the recent music business festival SXSW in Austin, Texas. On this list The Kissaway Trail occupy the number four spot.
After the Danish quintet's gig at SXSW on 17th March when both the audience and the industry people present were mesmerized by their grand and melancholic indie rock, their second single “61” of their debut album was included in a pod cast – My Music That Matters Vol. 42: My SXSW Flash Hour Pod Cast.
After the concerts in first Toronto at the Canadian Music Week mid-March and then shortly after in Austin at the South by Southwest (SXSW), The Kissaway Trail has now embarked on a little European tour with approximately 10 gigs in the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, etc.
This is the second time within just one month that NME articles reflect the buzz around Danish music. So many exciting things are happening on the Danish music scene right now that NME has written a small feature on Danish music. According to the article the UK may very well experience a new invasion of Vikings, and the article puts focus on Oh No Ono, Kashmir, Nephew, The Broken Beats, The Blue Van, and WhoMadeWho, the venues of Copenhagen, the Roskilde Festival and proclaims Morningside Records and Crunhy Frogs favourite record labels.
