Dúné is a young Danish band inspired by the seventies punk, the eighties pop and the nineties indie rock - all mixed together to indielectrock! They have a reputation of delivering a live show loaded with elegance, style and high energy. They just received the most prestigious Danish prize P3 Award, and they are nominated in 3 categories of the Danish Music Awards. Dúné’s debut album is already released in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, and the band has played several concerts in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, UK and USA. Dúné will be performing at MIDEM's new live music event in the Orange Magic Mirrors 27 January, 22:15 hrs.
Dúné will harvest international recognition when they receive the European Border Breakers prize on 27 January. The prize is awarded to bands whose debut albums have sold well outside their home country and who at the same time have toured abroad. Dúné is the latest in a distinguished line of Danish prize-winners which has included Hush, The Raveonettes and Saybia. The European Border Breakers prize was established by the EU Commission, and is awarded at a show in the Palais des Festivals, 17 hrs.
