Up untill now Mew has been nominated several times at the Danish Music Awards and always left the show empty handed. But this weekend Mew left the award show with four prizes for Danish Group, Danish Male Solo Artist (Jonas Bjerre), Danish Album ('Mew and The Glass Handed Kites') and Danish Rock Album ('Mew and The Glass Handed Kites').

Further the young Danish singer/songwriter Tina Dickow who lately gained success at The Canadian Music Week won the prize for best Danish Female Solo Artist.

The Danish section of IFPI held The Danish Music Awards for the 18th time.
