On November 11 Danish World Awards 2005 took place in Copenhagen Jazzhouse. Afenginn received the prize as Best World Album 2005 for the album 'Retrograd', Best World Track 2005 went to Grupo Danson and the Copenhagen venue Etnorama received the Special Prize 2005.

The award show is organised in a co-operation between Djembe magazine and the Danish World Music Association.
