International Music Exchange
The Danish Arts Council’s Committee for Music provides support for international music exchange and Danish music abroad within the field of classical and contemporary music. The support is directed towards foreign partners who wish to invite a Danish ensemble, musician or composer or who wish to present Danish music.

How to apply
Applications are to be submitted on an application form. There is no particular application deadline and applications but the application form must be submitted at least two months before the date of a possible departure or event.

Rock, jazz, folk and world music
The Danish Arts Council’s Committee for Music has decentralised the administration of subsidies for international rhythmic music tours and projects. The genre organisations for rock, jazz, folk music and world music are responsible for distributing the grants. Music Export Denmark (MXD) also allocates economic support for international tours and projects within rock/pop. (Grants for international projects in classical and contemporary music are still distributed by the Committee for Music).

How to apply
Foreign partners who wish to invite Danish bands, musicians or who wish to present Danish music, may apply for grants directly to the genre organisations:

Commission Fees
The Danish Arts Foundation Committee for Music can provide support towards commission fees for Danish composers (rhythmic or classical music) on application from a foreign institution, musician or ensemble. The institution applying must have concluded an agreement with the composer, and the composer must have accepted the task and the commission.
