The Danish Composers' Society (DKF) mainly represents composers working within the classical tradition and score jazz.

The Danish Songwriters' Guild (DPA) is for songwriters, entertainment and revue composers, as well as lyricists within the entire popular genre.

Danish Society for Jazz, Rock and Folk Composers (DJBFA), the youngest – and largest – composers' association, which mainly recruits members from within the rhythmic area.

3 copyright societies in Denmark administer the rights of the creative artists.
Koda administers the rights of composers, arrangers, lyricists and publishers in connection with public performances of musical works. The professional organisations are represented on KODA’s council from which they receive support for their activities.

The Nordic Copyright Bureau (NCB) administers the rights of the same groups in connection with the mechanical rights.
