2007Juliana Hodkinson, Simon Steen-Andersen, and Per Nørgård are among the Danish composers profiled at this years’ Nordic Music Days Festival taking place 29 August – 1 September in Norrköping - Sweden.
Nordic Music Days, one the world’s oldest ongoing music festivals, started in 1888, is administered by the Nordic Composers Council.
At this years’ festival:
- Norrköping’s Symphony Orchestra will play with Odense Symphony Orchestra – on a video screen. They will perform Juliana Hodkinson's I Greet You a Thousand Times for orchestra and video.
- Remix Ensemble from Portugal will perform the 75-year-old Per Nørgård’s violin concerto Helle Nacht .
- Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen will present a double portrait of the composers Simon Steen-Andersen and Malin Bång, who combine acoustic instruments with electronic sound and video in different ways.

Furthermore, the festival will include seminars and workshops with representatives from the Nordic organisations discussing ways of promoting classical music.
