Danish classical and contemporary music was celebrated at a gala concert in the Danish Radio Concert Hall 30 September 2007.

The P2 award DMA Classical was given out for the fourth time. The prize is awarded in cooperation with Danish Broadcasting Cooperation and the Danish department of The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).

The IFPI honorary prize - given to a person who through his or her career has done something special for the classical music life – went to the 58-year-old pianist and professor Anne Øland.

Eight prizes were given out:

Solo CD of the year: “Works for organ by Dietrich Buxtehude vol. 5”. Bine Bryndorf, organ. DACAPO 6.220520.

Chamber music CD of the year: “Carl Nielsen Violin Sonatas and solo pieces for violin”. Christina Åstrand, violin, Per Salo, piano. DECCA 0602517304307

Vocal CD of the year: "Per Nørgård: The Will-o´-the-Wisps Go To Town & Bent Sørensen: The Little Mermaid". Inger Dam-Jensen. Ylva Kihlberg, Helene Gjerris, Gert Henning Jensen, Bo Kristian Jensen, soloists, Jens Albinus, recitation, Ars Nova Copenhagen, Danish National Symphony Orchestra And Choirs/DR, Thomas Dausgaard, conductor. Orchestral CD of the year: "J.G.W. Palschau and J.A.P. Schulz: Cembalo Concertos amd Solo Pieces for Cembalo". Concerto Copenhagen and Lars Ulrik Mortensen, cembalo and conductor. DACAPO 8.226040

International CD of the year: "Arvo Pärt: Da Pacem", Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, Christopher Bowers-Broadbent, organ, Paul Hillier, conductor. Harmonia Munid HMU 907401.

Contemporary CD of the year: "Svend Nielsen's Sommerfugledal" with Ars Nova Copenhagen conducted by Tamas Vetö received a prize fromThe Danish Radio programme for contemporary music. DACAPO 8.224706.
