The Danish Arts Foundation has just announced the names of Danish composers to receive the yearly awarding of prizes. The prizes are given to Danish composers who have published music of especially high artistic standards during the past year

The Committee for Popular Music has awarded eight composers with a prize of 6.500 € each:

• Isam B for "Institution"
• Jacob Bro for "Peal River"
• Julie Maria for "På kanten af virkelighed" (At Odds with Reality)
• Claus Hempler for "Return of the Yes Man"
• Efterklang for "Parades"
• Tina Dickow for "Count to Ten"
• Niels Lyhne Løkkegard for "Light Airborne"
• MunckBjørnKodal for "Instruktioner til Gud" (Instruction to God)

The Committe for Classical Music has awarded two composers with a prize of 13.500 € each:

• Poul Ruders for "Serenade on the Shores of the Cosmic Ocean"
• Henning Christiansen for the works of a lifetime
