Danish Music Awards 2008
The major annual awards ceremony of the Danish music industry took place in the Glass Hall in Tivoli on 23 February. Most of the statuettes went to new names, and the singer Natasja Saad, who tragically died in a road accident in 2007, was posthumously awarded prizes in no less than four categories. The group Dúné received three statuettes and was amongst other things declared "New Danish Name of the Year". The groups Alphabeat and Efterklang each received two awards. Veteran songstress Anne Linnet received the IFPI honorary prize.
