The organisation for the Danish independent record labels, DUP, has published the first edition of the music magazine Boom Boom in connection to the Copenhagen Music Week, leading up to MTV Europe Music Awards in Copenhagen November 2. The magazine is aiming to communicate primarily with the international music business. Seen from the independent music scene Boom Boom describes status, conditions and challenges for the artists and the record companies behind, via articles and interviews from all angles. There are stories about Infernal, Sune Wagner/Raveonettes, Morningside Records, Ryan Screiber from Pitchfork, the Danish minister of culture Mr Brian Mikkelsen etc.
