On November 17 Danish World Awards 2006 took place in Copenhagen Jazzhouse. Natasja received the prize as Best World Album 2006 for the album 'Release', Best World Track 2006 went to Sylvester Agbedoglo for the track 'Mayi Mava' and the reggae concert organiser Supa Mikes received the Special Prize 2006.

The award show is organised in a co-operation between Djembe magazine and the World Music Denmark.
