Direct Contact to Danish Jazz
The Danish Jazz Federation promotes Danish jazz music abroad and handles co-operation between the Danish and the international jazz scene. These networking activities are financed by the Danish Arts Council’s Committee for Music. The Federation organises and participates in Danish jazz presentations abroad and international visits to Denmark by jazz promoters, journalists and musicians.

International Danish Jazz Launch
International Danish Jazz Launch 2005-2007 brings focus to 28 talents of the Danish Jazz scene chosen by an International committee of jazz promoters. The project is supported by the Danish Ministry of Culture. The aim is to strengthen Danish jazz on the international market. The bands will be presented at venues and festivals abroad and have all been selected because they possess a unique and personal expression and already have international careers. Three spear-heads have been selected:

International Forums
Europe Jazz Network is an Internet-based network of promoters, associations, agents, etc., mainly working within the fields of jazz and improvisational music.
Many Danish jazz recording companies are present at the Midem music industry fair, which is held every year in France.

Denmark abroad
Danish embassies, consulate-generals and cultural institutes abroad have in many cases active cultural departments which can supply information and advice on international exchanges, also within the area of music.

These missions possess local knowledge of the cultural life in their areas, as well as contacts with cultural and musical life in Denmark. You can locate potential contacts in your country by using the search engine to the right.

For exchange projects between Denmark and the developing countries the Danish Center for Culture and Development, works to implement and support musical exchange projects.
