Secretariat for Contemporary Music (SNYK) promotes contemporary Danish music both nationally and internationally. The activities are financed by the Danish Arts Council's Committee for Music.

The Gaudeamus Foundation, based in the Netherlands, is a veritable powerhouse of activities and archives in new music, and produces a bulletin on all kinds of initiatives within the field of new contemporary music.

Festivals, radio staff and promoters from all over Europe have organised themselves in the ECPNM - the European Conference of Promoters of New Music. Their website provides yet another source of information about concerts, etc.

The International Music Council (IMC) is a global network of expert organisations and individuals working in the field of music. Founded in 1949 by UNESCO, IMC is mandated to promote musical diversity and support cultural rights for all. The European Music Council (EMC) is the European regional group of IMC.

Denmark abroad
Danish embassies, consulate-generals and cultural institutes abroad have in many cases active cultural departments which can supply information and advice on international exchanges, also within the area of music.

For exchange projects between Denmark and the developing countries the Danish Center for Cultgure and Development works to implement and support musical exchange projects.
