Competitions

Carl Nielsen's solo concertos form the basis for three competitions for violin, flute and clarinet respectively. The competitions are organised by the Odense Symphony Orchestra and have taken place since 1980.

From 1965, the Danish National Symphony Orchestra /DR has organised and participated in the competition that bears the name of conductor Nicolai Malko (1883-1961). The competition is open for conductors under 30 years of age and takes place every third year in Copenhagen.
